Two Firms With Deep Community Roots
Blackburn, Donnelly & Barbarotta brings together two practices with long histories in north central Connecticut. Our firm was founded by Attorney Stuart G. Blackburn, a seasoned insurance and litigation attorney, whose roots in Windsor Locks run deep — it is where he built his practice on word-of-mouth referrals and long-term relationships and raised his family. In 2019, Attorney Derek E. Donnelly came on and co-founded Blackburn & Donnelly. Donnelly brought his sharp litigation instincts — including courtroom experience before the Connecticut Supreme Court — along with expertise in government, insurance, and real estate law, which helped grow the firm into one of the region’s most well-rounded practices.
In 2026, we were proud to join with Johnson, Dowe, Brown & Barbarotta, a longtime mainstay of the Windsor community, welcoming Attorney Kristen S. Barbarotta and her well-respected estate planning and probate team. Together, we offer our clients something rare: hometown service backed by the depth and breadth of a full-service firm.
